The Storefront: a brand activation unit that becomes your brand

For the experiential and brand activation agencies looking for something new to put in front of their clients.

Every experiential agency knows the feeling. The client wants a physical space that is the brand, not a marquee with a pull-up banner in the corner. They want people to walk in and feel the identity from every surface. And they want it to look as good on the third event of the season as it did on the first.

That brief has been getting harder to answer well. So we built a brand activation unit specifically for it. We call it the Storefront, and this is what it does.

What makes a great brand activation unit

The Storefront is built from tension fabric on flat, flush surfaces. No rivets, no panel lines, no awkward returns interrupting the artwork. Every face of the unit, exterior and interior, is a clean printable surface. When your client’s identity goes on, it goes on completely, edge to edge, with nothing breaking the design.

For an agency, that flush surface is the difference between branded and surrounded. A visitor standing inside a fully wrapped Storefront is surrounded by the brand on every wall, with no structural clutter reminding them they are standing in a hired box. The canvas can be relocated inside the unit too, so an interior wall becomes a feature graphic, a product backdrop or a photo moment exactly where the route through the space needs it.

The branding is reusable, and that changes the cost of a tour

Here is the part that matters for a multi-event programme. Our tension fabric graphics use a gel-edge system, which means the printed fabric is removed and re-installed cleanly, without damage. The same set of graphics can come off after one event and go straight onto the unit at the next.

For a roadshow or a season of activations running the same creative, that reusability takes the print cost out of every leg after the first. You produce the brand set once and it travels. Across a summer of events, that is a materially lower running cost than reprinting or rebuilding for each date, and it is one of the first things we talk through with an agency planning a tour.

A fair word about containers

Converted shipping containers have earned their place in this market. They are characterful, they are robust, and for the right brief they look fantastic. Plenty of agencies use them well, and we would never tell you otherwise.

The honest trade-off is how they brand. A container is typically painted or vinyl-wrapped for its identity, which commits the unit to that look until it is stripped and redone, or it is taken on a longer hire so the cost of that commitment is spread out. That works beautifully for a single sustained activation. It works less well when a client wants a different brand look at each event, or wants to hand the same physical space to two different clients across a season.

The Storefront comes at it from the other direction. As a brand activation unit, the shell stays neutral and the identity is a fabric skin that changes per event. It is not better than a container. It is a different answer to the same question, and for agencies juggling several clients or several creative treatments, it is often the more flexible one.

Add a Terrace, and the canvas doubles

A Storefront can be hired with a Terrace: an open upper deck with a glass balustrade and an external staircase, reached from the unit below. For an agency that means more than extra space. It means more branded surface, a higher sightline across a busy event, and an elevated hosting area that photographs well and gives VIPs somewhere to be seen. The balustrade and staircase are further canvas. On a crowded showground or festival site, a second storey is how a brand gets noticed from across the field.

Then you specify the fit-out

The shell and the branding are the start. What goes inside is chosen to the brief. Reception and welcome desks. Kitchen and servery units. Integrated WiFi. Lounge chairs and soft seating. A fridge and a Nespresso machine for hosting. Outside, decking to level and lift the entrance, garden furniture to extend the footprint, flags and cafe barriers to define the space and carry more branding to the site perimeter.

You brief the activation, we configure the unit around it. The agency presents a finished environment to the client; the sourcing and the logistics sit with us.

And behind it, a full fabrication workshop

When the standard options do not cover the idea, this is where it gets interesting. Behind the fleet sits a full fabrication workshop that builds large exhibition stands across Europe. That capability is available to your activation.

Custom fixtures, custom display furniture, a bar built to a specific design, a product plinth engineered to hold real weight, a feature no one has hired before because no one has built it yet. If it can be fabricated and it can go on a lorry, it can be part of the unit. Nothing is off the menu. For an agency, that is the reassurance that a Storefront is not a fixed product with a fixed answer, but a starting point with a workshop behind it.

Built for the agencies who need something new

If you place event units on behalf of brands and you have been looking for something newer and more flexible than the options you have been rehiring for years, the Storefront is the brand activation unit worth a conversation. It gives your client full brand immersion, it gives you reusable branding that lowers the cost of a multi-event programme, and it gives both of you a workshop that can build whatever the standard range does not.

We work with agencies as a white-label partner. Your brand fronts the work, your client stays yours, and partner terms are confirmed on application. Send us a brief and a set of brand assets, and we will return a render of the unit in your client’s identity within 72 hours, ready to drop into your pitch.
